I’m here for you!
And I’m really INTO yoga! It’s been an important aspect of my life for over 20 years – and even before that I played with it on and off. It’s just so good for my body, mind and overall sense of calmness and well-being! During my years of traveling and teaching in the photography/technology industry (see JaneCz.com) I did yoga to relax after hectic days at trade shows, and I used it to open my creative mind when designing new classes on utilizing emerging technologies in photography and retouching. Now I do yoga to maintain my balance, flexibility, body strength, health - and positive outlook on life.
I’m a dedicated teacher who intensely focuses on the individual needs of each one of my students. It's important to me that you are successful, engaged and happy with your learning experience and the time we spend sharing yoga.
These are my favorite yoga styles and the ones featured on this site:
Amrit Yoga
Created by Yogi Amrit Desai, who has over 70 years of yoga integration and teaching, Amrit Yoga is a combination of Hatha Yoga (Physical Discipline for body wellness) and Raja Yoga (Internal focus and meditative awareness). This style is for everyone and is crucial for improving the strength, balance and flexibility of the body while balancing the nervous system and reducing the biological effects of stress. You will love Amrit Yoga and it will love you!
Yin Yoga
Founded in the late 1970's by Martial Arts Expert and Yoga teacher Paulie Zink (Tao Lin), Yin yoga combines breathing and extended holding of various body postures in order to increase circulation in joints, improve flexibility and develop awareness of inner silence and universal interconnectivity. Yin Yoga is a practice in itself and also a valuable asset to other forms of exercise, like weight lifting and active sports as it rebalances strained muscles, soothing them (and the mind) after strenuous physical activity.
Vinyasa Yoga
Developed over a century ago, Vinyasa Yoga stems from Ashtanga yoga, a style that links body movement with breath, meaning that movement occurs with the inhalation and exhalation of breath. It is Intermediate Level yoga that is graceful yet strong. Although it can be physically challenging, the gracefulness, freedom and the rhythm created by syncing movement and breath can be enlivening. My Vinyasa yoga sequences are freestyle combinations of some of the more than 2,000 available yoga postures and variations.
That said, your personal yoga teacher is right here waiting for you! If you are weak, I will help you build your strength. If you are inflexible, I will help you extend yourself in safe, non-injuring ways. I’ll get to know you and work with you to design a yoga experience that fits your body and your lifestyle.
